Kindle Version of Teddy Visits Mitchell Farms and mini-interview feature

I just finished submitting the Kindle version of Teddy Visits Mitchell Farms! As soon as it has finsihed being reviewed it will be available for sale through Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QNAFDXA Earlier today a mini-interview I did with A. Renee Hunt was featured on her blog,mini-intervew blog post. I am still waiting for the CreateSpace proof of the paperback edition to arrive in the mail.

The End is in Sight!

I just finished submitting another version of Teddy Visits Mitchell Farms to CreateSpace for review. If this comes back good I will have a proof copy printed, for furthur review by myself and others. Hopefully I can get this done in only a few cycles, but I am willing to do what it takes to get this done!

Consistently Inconsistent

Well at least on my posting frequency.  And maybe the image style and length of post.  Still working! Done for now.

Diversified Writer?

One of my nephews and my youngest brother have started a Facebook page for a outdoors/hunting business. I am thinking about asking them if they think that articles and product reviews posted on their page could be mutually beneficial? Children's books, novels and outdoor/hunting articles? I think it can be done...  o yeah and programming.

Teddy Visits Mitchell Farms Update

It has been a while since my last post so I though I would put out an update on my book, Teddy Visits Mitchell Farms.  I have taken on the job of illustrating the book.  I was at Mitchell Farms for the weekend of the Mississippi Peanut Festival. I gave away about 100 promotional bookmarks and collected about 80 names and email addresses as entries for a chance to win a free signed copy when the book is released. I think I have about half of the images "done".

Illustrator has the pictures

Tonight I handed the illustrator a flash drive with 30 pictures for the children's book.  She confirmed with me that I want them to look cartoony.(correct spelling?) I also emailed a copy of the text to an author and, possibly more importantly, mom of two to read and give me her opinion.

Maybe soon I will have an official book announcement to send.

Children's Book In Development

I have written a rough draft of what should become my first self-published children's book.

Yesterday, I went to Mitchell Farms and took pictures. I emailed some of the pictures to the illustrator last night.

I am hopefull that this is a good start to a good book.

Book Two Before Book One Update

Last night I met with the owners of the business that is going to be the the subject of book two of my children's book series. They seemed excited about the idea too. Everything went well and the gave me permission to use thier business in my book. I will come back later and take pictures.

I have already received a few thumbnail sketches from my illustrator and they look good. I think this book will be awesome! I hope to push myself to have this finished in time for a big 2 day event that will draw lots of people.

Book Two Before Book One

I have a meeting tonight to discuss some ideas about a potential book two in a children's book series I am working on. Book one hasn't been finalised yet but I still plan to keep book one as book one. Vague enough for you? Hopefully more details soon.

Children's book update #2

I have received a couple of quick sketches back from the illustrator, they look good! I am getting excited! I told her, even if It bombs and doesn't sell at all, I want a copy for my girls!

Children's book progress update #1

If you have read my Author page you might have noticed that I am working on a children's book. I just wanted to give an update: I have sent a rought draft copy to the best artist I know and she has agreed to do the illistrations. I have read the story to both of my daughters and they liked it.
